Scholarships to Studios: A Journey with Anna Reigns
The First Scholarship, Then the Studio: A Conversation with Miss Anna Reigns
Some people arrive at this work already polished.
Anna arrived already called.
This week, Miss Anna Reigns is in Denver — freshly certified in Bondassage® and Elysium®, and holding space with me for Temple Temptations (August 31–September 5). She is also the first practitioner to receive the BIPOC scholarship I created for underrepresented voices in the intimacy arts. That wasn’t a marketing line. It was a door I wanted open. She walked through it with presence, humor, and a kind of gravity that doesn’t need to announce itself.
I trained her. Then I sat down and interviewed her. This is what I want you to know.
Why the scholarship existed in the first place
This field has always had brilliant and marginalized practitioners. It has not always had the same access, mentorship, or public welcome.
When I opened scholarship spots for Bondassage® / Elysium® training, I said I would see the first person who was both qualified and ready. Anna was that person. She didn’t ask to be a symbol. She asked to be trained well. That’s the energy I want in this lineage.
If you are a provider who has felt the call and wondered whether there was room for you here: there is. Anna is proof of that door, not the only one who will walk through it.
What I saw in the training room
Bondassage® is not “add some rope and call it luxury.”
Elysium® is not “go slower and hope it feels spiritual.”
Both require nervous-system literacy, consent that stays alive the whole session, and the ability to hold intensity without performing it.
Anna already had the psychological and energetic spine of a Domme. What we built in the studio was the sequence — the hands, the pacing, the blindfold-and-breath architecture, the way a body tells you when it is opening versus when it is bracing.
She took direction without shrinking. She asked sharp questions. She did not rush the quiet parts.
That’s the difference between someone collecting a certificate and someone who will actually be safe to book.
In her words
“Moving into the Temple felt like a natural next step.
I wanted to work with the whole person, not only the imagination. I wanted to notice breathing, tension, movement, and the ways the body responds during an experience. The body can communicate something before a person has words for it.
I’m interested in the parts of people that do not get much room in everyday life. Creating a space where someone can explore those parts of themselves has become part of my business, The House Altera too.”
What is your favorite part of being a new Practitioner?
“Being new means I am still incredibly curious.
I don’t want to get to a place where I assume I already know how an experience is supposed to unfold. Every person comes in with their own history, personality, desires, nervous system, and relationship with pleasure and surrender.
So every session teaches me something.
I like being at a stage where I am gaining confidence but still paying attention. I’m learning what feels natural to me as a practitioner, what techniques I gravitate toward, and how the psychological style I developed through virtual domination translates into physical space.
It also means a lot to me because this work is tied into a larger change I’ve made in my own life.
I stepped away from a career I had spent years building because I wanted my next chapter to involve people, bodies, curiosity, intimacy, and the complicated places where psychology and embodiment meet.
I think my favorite part is knowing how much is still ahead of me. I’m having new experiences, meeting new people, and even seeing people I already knew in new ways.
I’m still at the beginning, and I really like that.”
One thing she has already said publicly, and I will echo it because it is true: she is on the right path. Not because a title sounds good on a banner. Because the work fits the way she already moves through power, sensation, and care.
Who she is when she is not on my table
Anna is Miss Anna Reigns — sensual psychological Dominatrix, sexological bodyworker, Reiki-trained, and the force behind House Altera After Dark. Her own language is lunar: I am the moon and you are the tide. That is not branding fluff when you watch her work. She pulls. People follow. The skill is making that pull feel like devotion instead of demand.
This week in Denver she is not only a graduate. She is a visiting practitioner. If you have been waiting for a Temple night that feels both elegant and a little dangerous in the best way, this is the window.
What this means if you want to train
I train a small number of people on purpose.
Training with me includes the copyrighted sequences, demo models, certification, and the unglamorous parts nobody puts on a flyer: how to talk about money, how to screen, how to keep your own nervous system intact after a full day of holding other people’s surrender.
Anna’s week is what the path can look like when it is done cleanly: train → integrate → practice in a held container → be seen.
If you have been circling the application, put “Sydney Sol,” as your trainer and write Emily at sydneyassistant@protonmail.com. Scholarships remain available for practitioners from historically underrepresented communities. The first one has a name now. The next one can have yours.
Come meet her
Miss Anna Reigns is in studio August 31–September 5 for Temple Temptations.
If you book, come as you are. Come curious. Come with your real yes and your real no. That is the only way this work works.
The lineage is not a club.
It is a craft.
This week, the craft has a new pair of hands — and they are excellent.
